Why They Laugh When You’re Broke”

“Poverty teaches you who your real friends are. But it also teaches you how cheap respect can be.”

When you have no money, your voice gets quieter. You speak, but people interrupt you. You try, but they dismiss you. You exist — but to the world, you’re invisible. I remember walking into a room full of people I knew — family, even. My clothes weren’t brand new, my phone screen was cracked, and I had  awkward silence, and the kind of pity that feels more like judgment. And then, someone richer walked in — loud laughter, handshakes, admiration. Same room. Same people. Different price tag. That’s when I learned something ugly but true: in this world, money often buys you respect before you’ve even earned it

Why Do They Ridicule You?

Because in society’s eyes, being poor is not just a financial status — it's a character flaw. You're lazy.
You're unmotivated.
You're not trying hard enough
, People think if you don’t have money it’s because you failed somewhere, They don’t see your sleepless nights They don’t see your efforts. They only see your wallet — and if it’s empty, they assume so are you. But here’s the deeper truth: ridicule is how insecure people protect themselves, They laugh at the poor because they fear becoming them. They mock you because they need to believe they’re better.

What They Don’t Realize: They don’t see the strength it takes to keep going when everything’s falling apart.
They don’t see the dreams you hold silently because no one believes in you.
They don’t see how rich your heart is — because all they care about is your bank account But that’s okay, Because money can buy popularity, not loyalty.
It can buy applause, not love.
It can buy fake smiles — but not real ones.

Final Message

If you’re being ridiculed for being brokeB. Let it make you sharp, not bitter. Let it fuel your hunger. And when your time comes — when you rise — remember how they treated you Not to take revenge, But to never become like them. Because one day, when you're successful, you'll learn that the richest people are not the ones with the most money — but the ones who remember what it felt like to have none.
